Ever wonder what choices you make that can make you look older? Here’s a short video on the top 3 things you can change (I even added in my personal opinion of a 4th thing that can age you)!
Have fun. And as always, I love hearing your thoughts. Feel free to comment below.
You are not alone! Time Magazine did an article all about how people were getting fewer and fewer hours of sleep. Especially women. No surprise there, right? Here are my favorite things to give you the biggest circle-free results in the shortest time possible:
STEP 1 – Wear a bright color (especially a color that you know makes you glow!) near your face. It magically brightens your face and reduces the appearance of dark circles.
STEP 2 – cut out salt. It helps your body not retain fluid. Which helps diminish the appearance of dark circles. Even if you don’t salt your food, if you go out to eat a lot, restaurants tend to use too much salt.
STEP 3 – Get a better night’s sleep. My favorite “sleep recipe” (from the oh-so-handsome and brilliant Dr. Alan Christianson) is below.
Dr. Christianson’s Sleep Recipe:
1. Wake early, get some intense exercise in direct sunlight. Early daytime sunlight is important for night time sleep.
2. Eat small meals throughout the day to keep your blood sugar steady. If you’re missing meals or eating sugary junk all day your blood sugar will crash at night and you’ll wake up at 3 AM with your mind racing.
3. Try zero caffeine for a few weeks. I promise you won’t die, but you might get a headache for a few days. Just don’t take Excedrin for it because it also has caffeine. And remember, it takes 36 hours to leave your body. If you don’t sleep well, even a little caffeine in the AM can be the culprit.
4. Turn off the computer and TV an hour before bedtime. **This one is really hard for me! – Kirin**
5. Now relax in a bath or shower about 8 PM. This will help to relax your body and slow your brain waves.
6. Lower your home’s thermostat to 72-74 degrees by 9 PM.
7. Sip on chamomile tea and take 150-250 mg of magnesium.
8. Make a list. Take 5-10 minutes to jot down all those things you need to remember for tomorrow.
9. Dim or turn off your lights. Turn on a single reading lamp and read some light fiction, inspirational stories or spiritual literature. No current events!
10. Lights out! For real, make it as dark as you can in the room you sleep in. This is important.
Try these steps to dramatically reduce dark circles under your eyes. Best of luck! Now tell me what you think below.
Quick question for you….
Are you brave enough to go outside without makeup? How about to the store?
Look, to be a Red Haute Mama there are tons of little things you can do to look fabulous so even on your makeup-free days you can feel confident baring all! Need proof? Okay, I used to never even go to the mailbox without some kind of makeup on. One time I went to the hardware store bare-faced wearing “painting clothes” and the guy kept asking me if I was sick. (In fairness to him had I just applied 1-2 Red Haute Bombshell tips I teach he probably wouldn’t have been so concerned about my health!) 🙂
But you can still look fab…yes, even when you are baring it all – a face free of cosmetics that is. So I DARE you….I TRIPLE DOG DARE you to use some of my other (non-makeup) tips to get glam…..and THEN go outside and bare it all! You will feel so empowered…..and even with a squeeky clean face, you can still look oh-so-haute!
Love to hear your thoughts. Would you dare to go bare? Let me know below!
Wishing you a fabulous day! – Kirin
So I’ve done it. And I’m scared, but you’ve inspired me to stop thinking about it, and just take action! So even though I’ve never done this Bombshell Bootcamp before (teaching 5000+ students around Arizona doesn’t count since I was always working for one of the National modeling schools). This is kinda like my baby. Except my oldest baby is now officially a teen and talks back, so this Bootcamp is BETTER than a baby! 🙂 I’m having a Bombshell!
Here’s 3 tips you can put to use right away! **Can be used by ALL women; moms and non-moms**
Isn’t it funny how your experiences teach you valuable life lessons? One of the best life lessons I learned from speaking to Girl Scout troops was that if you want your audience to stand up and listen to you, you’ve GOT to look polished and together! When I wore pants (even with a cute top, and sparkly high heels, they could care less what I had to say. But when I put on my most fab dress (that’s just 1 of my top 13 Bombshell tips for you), suddenly they were at attention and hung onto every word. (If you think for one moment it’s easy to keep the attention of 20 nine year old girls….HA!)
It’s the same for you. Like it or not, people will treat you differently based on the image you present. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but when people respond to you, it’s NOT because of who you are “on the inside.” It’s ALL ABOUT how you look (and most importantly how you FEEL you look) on the OUTSIDE!
