To tattoo or not to tattoo, that is the question!
Okay, so Shakespeare probably wouldn’t write serious questions about tattoos, but lately I’ve seen more and more women sporting tattoos (more women now than in Shakespeare’s era, for sure!). And to be honest I’m a little confused about it. (I love this Saturday Night Live video spoof about moms getting tattoos).
This is simply curiosity for anyone who has (or who has ever thought of) getting a tattoo. Hey, I even tried the “permanent makeup” to darken my naturally white blonde brows (yes God has a sense of humor to give a girl BRIGHT red hair and white blonde brows…haa – haa, it’s NOT funny!). In case you don’t know, “permanent makeup” is a fancy way of saying “tattoo” for your face. Because if you tried to sell women on the idea of tattooing our faces, we’d come up with all kinds of reasons as to why that is just plain stupid.
So why are so many more women likely to get a non-face tattoo? Especially when it doesn’t even have a cool name like “permanent body makeup.” Why the increase in tattoos? It’s especially interesting to me that lawyers, doctors, and other articulate, beautiful and accomplished women are walking around with tramp stamps (a tattoo on your lower back just above your tush). **I heard the term “tramp stamp” from the movie “Wedding Crashers.” If it has another name feel free to share below. Otherwise, remember I didn’t come up with the name….just calling it the most widely used one! 🙂 **
Would love to hear your thoughts on this. To tattoo or not to tattoo….would you or wouldn’t you? Please leave your comments below. Until next time, wishing you a fabulous day!
Okay ladies, let’s talk about BLING! You know, sparkles! You’ve seen bling on clothing, jewelery, shoes, jeans, and all kinds of fun things. But have you seen (or heard of) bling-ing your lady-parts? It’s called vajazzling. And just like it sounds it’s bedazzling for your private parts.
I know, I know, my mouth is still hanging open in shock too. Even though I’d like to think I’m hip to all kinds of new and fabulous things, at the end of the day I’m still a good-old-fashioned mom when it comes to somethings.
So when one of the daily coupons emailed me a special for a brazillion bikini wax at the local “Body Bling Bar and Salon,” called The V-Spot (with optional vajazzling) I simply HAD to check it out! http://www.thevspotsalon.com/
First of all, brazillian waxes are a little more, let’s just say, “involved” than your standard bikini wax. At one point during your Brazillion, don’t be surprised to be asked to lay on your back with your legs up in the air – and slightly over your head. (Blushing as I’m writing about this!)
Although I wasn’t adventurous enough this time to also add sparkle to my lady-parts, something tells me that I just may have to try (a conservative) design someday. Hey, you only live life once and for things that aren’t going to hurt you or others, why not try it? Seriously, what have you got to loose? Live a life of no regrets! And after telling my husband about it (and HIS mouth dropping open), the first thing he asked me was, “so what [design] did you get?”
Hmmmm. Maybe for our 15th anniversary next month, instead of fabulous earrings for me, HE will be the one to get a sparkly surprise!
So have you heard of it? Am I crazy for being a little shy to try it? Would you ever try it? Would you do it for a special occasion or just for fun? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Please leave your comments below. And have a fabulous….sparkly day!
Thanks to Treasa, Alina, and April for requesting this topic. As a naturally curly hair girl myself, these are my 3 favorite tips to help you if your hair is curly, frizzy, kinky, or flyaway.
As always, I love hearing from you. Please leave your comments below. Wishing you a fabulous day!
