Q & A – How do You Tame Frizzy Hair?
Hi, I’ve been having a hair loss problem for a while and I really don’t know what to do. If you could give me some tips please.
My hair is dull, frizzy and really thin and fine. I dont want harsh chemicals at all because my scalp & hair is really sensitive..and I was also wondering sime points to tame my frizz. I cant use any serums. I absolutly hate them and I’ll try it, and nothing happened. My hair jst got super oily and gross.. please help!!
Okay, if you’ve tried hair serums and they make your hair too oily, that usually means you are using too much. Next time, try using a tiny amount. And there are some brands of serums that I use that don’t work at all on my hair but other brands work great. So try several brands. I like Hair Silk.
But an even better way to tame the frizz is to do MORE than one step.
1) Wash your hair. Be sure to rinse it for AT LEAST two full minutes after you’ve washed it, and again, rinse for another two full minutes after you use conditioner.
2) Use a product like Moroccan Oil on your hair after you get out of the shower – Be sure to use a little bit while your hair is still damp.
3) Put a styling product like a gel or a mousse (preferably alcohol free) – Again, use while your hair is damp for best results.
4) Then once your hair is dry and styled, then use a smoothing product. I like Bedhead ‘After Party.’
Another option is to do a Brazillion Blowout – they have a gentle keratin treatment that doesn’t have the harsh chemicals. It’s pricey, but totally worth it, especially if you live somewhere with lots of moisture and humidity.
For hair loss, there are a ton of procedures (like hair implants) that you can do. They also have natural looking toupees (yes, women can wear them too), and hair extensions to add volume and length. Or you can wear a human hair wig for a more natural look than synthetic hair. You’d be surprised how many women you know and have heard of who do at least one of these things!
