What’s In Your Beauty Bag

Kirin Christianson Red Haute MamaWhat’s In Your Beauty Bag

Recently I’ve been toying with the idea of asking a celebrity to share what was in her purse.  Imagine my surprise when I was the one asked to share what was in my beauty bag!  Want to know what I said?

Check out AZ Spa Girl’s blog to read all about it:

I answer these questions:

-  What are the 3 beauty products you never leave home without
-  What tips do you have for freshening up your hair and/or makeup between your appearances?
–  What skincare products would you say are the most instrumental in keeping your skin so young and flawless?
–  Any beauty tricks that you’ve learned as a model that we can use for our holiday photos this year?
–  …..and MORE!

I’ll give you a sneak peak at one of the tips I share – “shave your face.”  But I have to give credit where credit is due.  You see I found my makeup went on better when I’d wax my face 2-3 weeks before a big event.  But I felt embarrassed scheduling a face wax at the salon.  (And let’s face it I had a few renegade chin hairs that had a mind of their own!)  So I secretly started shaving my face at home.  All those sweet little peach fuzz fine hairs….GONE!  Crazy, renegade, thick wolly mamoth chin hairs…..GONE!  It smoothed everything over.

But then I read my friend whom I’ve mentioned several times before, Shelley Goodstein’s book, “Face This.”    She was the first person I’d ever heard of who was unashamed of shaving her face and she’s modeled for Cover Girl and Olay!  So truthfully, Shelley is the one who gave me the confidence to announce loud and proud that I’m a girl….and I shave my face!  Thank you Shelley.

And thank you Lisa at AZ Spa Girls for inviting me to be featured on your site.

About Kirin

Kirin Christianson+, is the founder of Red Haute Mama, an online community to provide expertise in 'all things glam.' From toes to tresses, no nook goes uncovered without examination. Red Haute Mama steers you toward the holy grail of glamor.

Growing up, Kirin didn’t have a lot, and everything was pretty ordinary - including her. On the outside she was an insecure, gangly, red-headed girl. But on the inside, she was a street-smart brainiac determined to make her way.

How did she do it? She took a long, hard look in the mirror. And there it was. Something wonderful - potential! So she turned that red hair to ravishing, whipped those freckles into creamy white skin, and traded in the Keds for kitten heels.
The result? Me-ow!

What happened next? What didn’t! She became a model for print and television, a trainer for runway, a business mogul and a mom! A red haute mom, that is.

That’s her story from red crayon to red lipstick. So come on girls - let’s start writing yours!
