When your kale is cooked just right, it’s perfectly stiff and when you touch them they flake into millions of tiny pieces.
It’s been one heck of a busy week! I totally overbooked today. First with a committee meeting I’m chairing one section of for my son’s school, then I zoomed to fundraising luncheon for Food Matters, and then had a killer photo shoot for my new haircut….and then helped my son study for his upcoming tests.
Exhausting but fulfilling day.
So when I wanted a little snack, I decided to make this quick video for you on facebook live. Because I don’t want to get bloated before tomorrow morning’s photo shoot, (yes, 2 shoots in 2 days), it was important to make something light and healthy. And I figured you might like this recipe for 5 minute crispy kale. My husband loves it so much he makes sure we include it for Thanksgiving.
My friend wrote the BEST review ever via text…so I’m including that for you to see too….because it’s just too funny.
I hope you enjoy it as much as she did! Tell me what you think?
PS- Several of you have asked about microwaves….and here’s the thing: every microwave myth has been debunked by (legitimate) studies. And NEWER microwaves don’t have the issues that their great, great grandparents had. You can always make crispy kale in the oven too. I haven’t figured out the oven formula where they are all perfectly cooked though. Maybe cook them in smaller batches??
